A BAD HABIT is a negative behavior pattern. Common examples include: being late all the time, nail-biting, procrastination, fidgeting, overspending, staying up too long watching TV, or playing Video Games, consuming addictive things such as caffeine, alcohol, drugs, sugar, etc…
It is time to BREAK these BAD HABITS together! I will share mine and how I am breaking them, as well as other helpful info.
Here are some examples of my own BAD HABITS that I have REPLACED with GOOD HABITS:
Not Being Able to Say “NO” – I have a Habit of “Feeling Bad” for people and not being able to say “NO“, so I volunteer my time and services regardless of how it affects my health, sleep or time needed to build my Businesses! I am learning to say “NO“, and taking back my weekends, so I can get stuff done.
NAIL BITING – I used Nail Hardener to Stop Nail biting, as well as walk and exercise to relieve stress.
I now keep my hands busy, typing, needle work, writing, cleaning and organizing. If I get tempted to bite I eat something healthy and crunchy like baby carrots or celery.
*As of 8-1-2015 – I am happy to report that after years of nervous nail biting I quit about a month and a half ago and my nails are getting stronger and looking good. I will post photos soon!
CAFFEINE – I had to stop drinking Coffee a while ago, because I developed a bad stomach ulcer, but now I am still trying to QUIT drinking Soda. I was drinking about 3-4 a day and now I am down to 1/2 to 1 a day, because of the bad side effects from withdraw symptoms like: Migraine headaches, muscle aches, and fatigue, but drinking Soda or Caffeine has a lot of bad effects as well: insomnia, twitching, RSL (Restless Leg Syndrome) sugar highs and lows, anxiety, and more. All the chemicals in there are also harmful to our bodies and our nervous system. Also be careful, because so many herbs or weight loss pills contain caffeine.
I started drinking less and less, like a 1/4 to 1/2 of a can less each time and drinking more water with lemon or drinking healthy, home-made fruit or veggie smoothies instead (I will share some recipes later). I am now down to 1/2 to 1 Pepsi a day, but want to quit all together soon!
*As of 9-17-2015 I have replaced PEPSI with Herbal and Green Tea. Now that it’s getting cooler outside I enjoy a hot beverage in the morning.
Adding many more BAD HABITS later, like too much TV, or FB time, PROCRASTINATION, lack of FOCUS & DISCIPLINE, staying ORGANIZED, letting go of STUFF (recovering Pack Rat), PERFECTIONISM (has good and bad parts), and more so come back and visit!
This is still a NEW site and I have to add tons of information!
